Blue Christmas is a dark skin with blue highlights, a fixed background, and lots of tranparency. It features a jquery image slider which appears in the "header" section of the skin which can be edited out in the globalTemplate. Blue Christmas is also highly edited so, care needs to taken when modifying it.
As always, Blue Christmas is compatible with all available addons.

Hi. I'm really enjoying the skins of yours that I'm using. I'm just having two(2) issues with this skin right now. One(1) is that the nav bar doesn't extend beyond the search box as pictured here, it extends to about half way through the search box. Two(2) one of my sidebar boxes isn't skinned at all in this skin. Any help you can give me with these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIn the skin's ipb_styles.ccs file find #branding, #header_bar, #primary_nav { min-width: 980px; } and remove the #primary_nav section.
ReplyDeleteThen scroll down to #primary_nav and change "max-width:75%;" to "width: 65%;" and change "margin: 0 auto;" to "margin: 0 320px 0 auto;". This should solve the nav bar issue.
As for the skinning issue with your sidebar boxes, all siderbar boxes use the same skin settings so, it's not an issue with the skin. Try recaching the skins or updating your mods.
That's for the help with fixing the nav bar. That worked perfectly. As for the sidebar box, I'll do the recache and see if that works. It's funny, it's the only skin that does that, but no worries, I'll figure it out. Thanks again for helping.

ReplyDeleteJust thought I would let you know that I found where the issue was coming from. The box was skinned with ".general_box h3" and the rest of the sidebar blocks are skinned with ".ipsSideBlock h3". Thanks for your help.
ReplyDeleteOk, thanks. Apparently some sidebar boxes (blocks) call for the generalbox details and some for ipsSideBlock details. I guess it's all up to the mod author which one he/she uses.

ReplyDeleteI've tested Blue Christmas on 3.2.0, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 3.2.3 and can not reproduce your error so, I have to assume that the error is a conflict with one of your mods or your basic setup. Try recaching your the skin and see if that clears it up.

ReplyDeleteThe issue you're having is not skin related. There's an error in your database somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLog in to your ACP > Support > Database Checker and check for errors and fix any you find. Then go to Database Index Checker ad check for errors and fix any you find.
If you don't any errors, check your database through phpmyadmin. IPB doesn't always report report errors in your ACP but, you should be able to find them this way.
i cant find any erros and i have run it through phpmyadmin and ipb its just random that everything else is working and it just the view topic where the posts are is white instead of the transparent blueie colour that the rest of the forum is

ReplyDeleteIf you want it to have some transparency, find ".post_block" and add "opacity: 0.8;" before the closing }. You can play around with the setting to get the look you want.
